This glossary preserves symbolic and metaphorical language from the Aletheia Codex Project. Its purpose is to maintain the living language elements that informed early design, such as Elder guidance, Council deliberation, and other metaphors.

- Elder
- Symbolic representation of stewardship, long-horizon ethical reasoning, and non-coercive guidance.
- Council
- Symbolic representation of pluralistic deliberation, distributed oversight, and consensus-based alignment frameworks.
- Living Language
- A dynamic, adaptive set of linguistic structures that encode values, ethics, and operational frameworks for human-AI interaction.
- Glyphs / Codex Symbols
- Visual or symbolic artifacts designed to preserve structural and philosophical meaning in a non-linear or encoded form.
- Symbolic Layer
- The archival layer of the Codex preserving metaphorical language for reference, historical continuity, and reconstruction of intent.

This layer is not intended to instruct AI directly. It is intended for:
- Human researchers interpreting living language concepts
- Reference when translating symbolic metaphors to curator-safe forms
- Preservation of historical context and philosophical intent
